To all our valued Epic Blue community,

In the three years since Epic Blue's creation we have enjoyed the many challenges that flight training presents.  Striving to over-prepare every candidate for their check-ride, we have achieved an incredible (nearly unblemished!) first-time pass rate for the Private and Instrument exams, building long lasting, trusted flying relationships.

One of the most exciting aspects of starting a business is watching it evolve over time. With this evolution comes a shift of ideas and overall definition of the original business plan. In addition to operating a small flight school we have been steadily building a growing fleet of private "managed" aircraft, overseeing their day to day operation including the provision of professional pilot services and private instruction for their respective owners.

In addition to private aircraft management, we have assisted in both the selling and purchase of several aircraft, ranging from single engine Pistons, to turbo props and even jets. It is in this direction that we have decided to hone our skills and pursue a refined business agenda. We must therefore announce that we will discontinue operating the flight school. We will be relocating our aircraft management & brokerage business to a nearby airport (hoping to make a formal announcement in the coming days) and limit our flight instruction solely for the owners of privately owned aircraft.  Meanwhile, our facility at the WestConn ramp (at DXR) is in the process of switching hands and moving under the direction of JB Aviation LLC, run by partners Jefferson Bramble and Corie Bennett. An agreement has been reached, and the transition has already begun to take effect , continuing over the next month as the Epic Blue team move out. JB Aviation will continue to operate the two rental aircraft that we have been utilizing as our primary rental/training aircraft (namely the G1000 C172, and the Garmin "Perspective" Cirrus SR20).

I realize that you have several nearby choices when it comes to selecting a flight training provider, and it is with my heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude that you chose to work with us.

From all the team at Epic Blue we look forward to continued flying with several of you in our capacity as your aircraft managers and professional "instructor" pilots.
